Vision Statement

Students at Main Street School will be challenged to achieve academic excellence with a Biblical worldview in a loving environment where they are inspired to cultivate their unique talents and gifts to fulfill God’s plan for each of their lives.

History of Main Street School

In January of 2015, several families began to pray for God's will concerning the establishment of a Christian school in Tazewell. They recognized the need for a school with a firm Biblical foundation that would also challenge their children academically.

The mission of Main Street School is to prepare children to fulfill the plans God has for their lives with academic excellence and spiritual vitality. We believe that MSS students will be prepared to make a difference in the world with a solid academic foundation and the cultivation of Christ-like character. Main Street School is committed to providing a rigorous academic program and Christ-centered spiritual and social growth.

“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”
— Proverbs 22:6

Main Street School is incorporated and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. A Board of Directors was selected to establish a school of excellence that will provide biblical and academic training for children.
