Programs at Main Street School
Spanish
Our Spanish program features Mrs. Paola from Argentina! Students learn to read, write, and speak Spanish within context from a native speaker. Learning is fun and hands-on, utilizing songs, books, comics, and daily conversational discussions with topics such as calendar dates, weather, and colors.
Art
We offer two art programs within MSCS! Mrs. Paola teaches Elementary art, which focused on Christ centered projects featuring the fundamentals of art.
Our Middle and High School art program features Mrs. Jaclyn Wimmer, who specializes in more advanced learning for our older students.
Music
Our music classes aim to foster a love and skill in music through hands-on approach learning!
Elementary grades learn to engage in song and dance by singing as a choir through singing in rounds and reading musical notation. We also offer Recorder Karate and a variety of other musical activities from plays, musical storytelling, games, and other instruments featuring bucket drums, handbells, and ukuleles!
in Middle and High School, we offer choir, hand bell choir, and praise band class. In these advanced classes, we offer studies in chords, harmony, and musical form and theory with the use of guitars, ukuleles, piano, drums, and other worship instruments!
Above all, we aim to worship and glorify God with the gift of song, steeping our students in beauty and truth as we learn, play, and grow together!
STEM
Our STEM class offers Middle and High School the opportunity to grow in hands-on activities to encourage critical thinking and problem solving while applying concepts within STEM based principles to real-world challenges! Students have to think, design, build, and problem-solve their way through various activities and challenges!
This class also teaches the fundamentals of coding! They learn to utilize prompts and codes to create games and apps by programming commands and updating features!
Physical Education, Health, & Sports
Students learn, move, and grow within our physical education and health programs! They engage in sports & games while learning about healthy ways to grow and care for themselves. We cover units such as badminton, soccer, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, flag football, capture the flag, dodgeball, and beyond!
Multicultural Fair
Our annual Multicultural Fair showcases countries from all around the world! Each grade studies a separate country and takes a deep dive into the culture with music, food, dance, and clothing!
This fair is open to the public and encourages fellowship, public speaking, research, and a love of geography, culture, diversity, and wonder found within God’s world!
Pickleball League & Tournaments
NEW! Our thriving pickleball league offers mixed doubles and singles tournaments! Students learn the fundamentals, disciplines, leadership, sportsmanship, and fun of PB while enjoying fellowship with each other!
