Programs at Main Street School

Spanish

In this class, students learn to read, write, and speak Spanish within context. Learning is fun and hands-on, utilizing songs, books, comics, and daily discussions with regular topics such as calendar dates, weather, and colors.

Music

Our music class within Main Street School aims to foster a love and skill in music by taking a unique, hands-on approach to learning. Younger grades learn to engage in song and dance by singing as a choir, while in their ability to sing in rounds and read musical notation. Recorders, bucket drums, handbells, and ukuleles are common instruments used to help play and study reading notation.

For our upper grades, we offer choir, hand bells, and worship band class. Here we learn about chords, harmony, and theory with the use of guitars, ukuleles, and other worship instruments.

Above all, we aim to worship and glorify God with the gift of song, steeping our students in beauty and truth as we learn, play, and grow together!

Stem

Our new STEM class offers all grades the opportunity to grow in hands-on activities to encourage critical thinking and problem solving, while applying concepts within STEM based principles to real-world challenges.
